The Gate at Shanghai Biennale

In 2007, I helped my friends Yves Bernard and Yannick Antoine to conceptualize and set up a performance platform connecting real life with Second Life.
The installation, called The Gate (or, Hole in Space, Reloaded), has now been selected for the prestigious Shanghai Biennale (Shanghai Art Museum, Shanghai, China), focused on “Reharsal”, where it will be on display from October 24th, 2010 to February 28th, 2010.

Strano mostro color porpora
Immagino sia un incrocio tra una pianta e un animale domestico, per tenerti compagnia e metterti in guardia dagli estranei. È molto dolce, e i Jetsons, la famiglia del futuro disegnata da Hanna & Barbera, ne sarebbero gelosi.
Strange purple monster
I imagine it is a cross between a plant and a pet, there to keep you company and to let you know about intruders. It is very sweet, and the Jetsons would be jealous.




Faccia triste
Mi ricorda uno dei primi video animati al computer, Hard Woman di Mick Jagger. E’ un’opera d’arte, quindi, di nuovo, la mia opinione conta davvero poco.
Sad Face
It reminds me of one of the first computer-animated videos, Hard Woman by Mick Jagger. It is art piece so once again, my opinion is worth very little.
